Sony is offering a system Firmware update for 4K Portable Memory Recorder “AXS-R7”.

Sony highly recommends this firmware update for immediate installation on  VENICE systems to ensure highest performance.

The combination of the Firmware for the VENICE and the firmware for the AXS-R7 must be set.

4K Portable Memory Recorder “AXS-R7”

[Applicable Firmware version]
Firmware Ver. 4.01 or earlier

[Applicable combination firmware version]
The applicable combination firmware of VENICE is “Ver.5.00” or “Ver.5.01”.

[Precautions when updating]
To update to V5.0, use one of the following methods.
Follow the steps described in the update guide (4-736-142-11(1)).
Attach the unit to the MPC-3610 (VENICE/CineAltaV) Ver.5.00 or 5.01.

 6K 1.85:1 imager mode
X-OCN recording at up to 72 FPS
 6K 17:9 imager mode

X-OCN recording at up to 90 FPS
A High Frame Rate license (CBKZ-3610H/3610HM/3610HW) is required for high frame rate shooting.
